De vita Arcadii Avellani

Nostro tempore nomen Dr.is phil. et litt. Arcadii Avellani (Árkád Mogyoróssy) iacet in oblivione, quamquam idem sua aetate in Civitatibus Unitis Americae propugnator notus latinitatis vivae fuit. Arcadius Avellanus natus est die 6 m. Feb. a. 1851 in oppido Esztergom in Hungaria sito. Studiis peractis in Civitates Unitas Americae transmigravit, ubi variis in scholis docebat. Ab anno 1894 periodicum »Praeco Latinus« inscriptum edidit ad propagandum sermonem Latinum. Insuper rationem novam linguam Latinam adminiculo vivae vocis facile iucundeque docendi et discendi finxit ac libros narrationesque in Latinum vertit, qui inter alios sunt hi: »Les Aventures du Capitaine Magon« auctore Léon Cahuns (»Pericla Nauarchi Magonis« 1914), »The King of the Golden River« auctore John Ruskin (»Rex aurei rivi« 1914), »The Mystery of the Boule Cabinet« auctore Burton Egbert Stevensons (»Mysterium Arcae Boulé« 1916), »Treasure Island« auctore Robert Louis Stevenson (»Insula Thesauraria« 1922). Anno 1928 retractationem Latinam fabulae Robinsonis Crusoei divulgavit. Arcadius Avellanus die 16 m. Iun. a. 1935 Novi Eboraci e vita decessit.
